Not doing it your way doesn’t make it wrong, it just makes it different.
There are many ways to do many things. Often, managers, in particular, feel like they know the best way to do something. This is seldom true. They know one way and assume it’s the only way. Hubris and positional power are difficult to combat.
The people closest to the problem generally have better ideas on how to solve the problem, but they typically lack the required resources.
Those further from the problem usually have resources, but don’t know where best to leverage them for maximum results.
Do you see how this could work wonderfully if people communicated well?
But they don’t, so you can see where it explodes when someone acts like an ass.
Be humble enough to accept that your way may not be the only way. Be open to learning, listening, and trying a different approach.
